The World: what should the US be doing?

The US has been the indispensable global leader, with a formidable (and expensive) military.

We seem to have been retreating from that role. What is our foreign and defense/security strategy?

We need to decide, and to configure our defense and security resources so that they efficiently support that strategy.

Crunchicrant does not see this as an area where left/right plays: everyone wants effective & efficient security for the country and themselves. This is a ‘crunchiness’ thing:

• Strategy
• Objective threat assessment (all threats)
• Open minded search for optimal responses (not influenced by “this is how its always been done” thinking)
• Energetic build of security (including military) resources to enable us to make that response: retirement of resources that do not contribute enough.
