US healthcare cost growth

Medicare costs per enrollee are creeping up and the trend is expected to accelerate.

The cost of benefits for each retired Americans is increasing.

Healthcare is advancing and becoming ever more expensive.

The federal government pays for 28% of the total US healthcare bill (2017 – Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Management data) – and this number is likely to rise.

More expensive healthcare = more pressure on Medicare expenditure.
